How It Works

A clear process from first idea through to a finished, release-ready result.

1. Start with the song

Send through your beat, stems or rough demo, and I’ll help work out the best path for where the track is currently at.

2. Record or prep

We capture vocals, organise sessions, tighten takes and get everything ready so the process feels smooth and focused.

3. Shape the record

This is where the balance, depth, vocal presence, energy and emotion start locking together into something that feels finished.

4. Finalise and deliver

Once the record is right, you’ll get a polished final result with the clarity and impact it needs to move forward confidently.

Built by an artist, shaped by decades behind the desk

I came into this through music first, then fell in love with what happens behind the desk — how the right recording, mix and guidance can bring a song into focus and help an artist hear themselves properly. Over the years I’ve worked across hip hop, singer-songwriter material, bands and major-label-connected projects, but the part I still care about most is helping artists turn strong ideas into records that really connect.

What artists say

  • A person taking a selfie at night, illuminated by a red light, wearing a white headband and black clothing, with a tattoo on the neck.

    Mitchos da Menace

Always a steez at the studio, always comfortable and brings out the best in of you!!!
Espa's the don of mixing and mastering no doubt.

  • A man with a beard and mustache wearing a black cap and black shirt, looking to the side with a serious expression, against a blurred green background.

    NJE

Working with Espa is just knowing my music is in great hands. Espa knows how to bring out the best in an artist and he has an amazing ear with mixing and mastering track.

  • A person with short, spiked hair singing into a microphone on stage, wearing a loose T-shirt, in black and white.

    AZZA D

Not just a great engineer but Espa is an excellent person to work with from amateur to professionals the relationships he builds with his artist and sound quality is top tier.
